MENTORSHIP · LIMITED SPOTS
Clinical VA Mentorship
For virtual assistants who are ready to build their clinical practice with sustained, structured support — from someone who has done the work.
There is a difference between having information and knowing how to apply it to your specific situation, your specific clients, and the specific challenges that come up as you build.
The guide gives you the foundation. Focus Sessions help you work through specific topics. Mentorship is for the VAs who want something more — a thinking partner who understands the clinical environment, knows the operational realities of this work, and can help you navigate what comes up as your practice grows.
This is not generic business coaching. It is grounded, specific, and built around the realities of working in regulated Canadian healthcare settings.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Mentorship is for you if...
You've read the Clinical VA Guide and are aligned with the values and approach it reflects
You're building your clinical VA practice and want sustained support rather than one-off answers
You're self-directed and motivated — you come prepared, follow through, and take the work seriously
You want someone to think alongside as you navigate real situations, not just a checklist to follow
You're ready to invest in building something that lasts
HOW IT WORKS
Structured, prepared, and specific to you.
BEFORE EVERY SESSION
You'll receive a short prep questionnaire tailored to your current focus. Complete it at least 24 hours before your call so there's time to review and arrive with context.
DURING THE SESSION
60 minutes of focused, structured conversation — working through your specific situation, challenges, and next steps. Honest, direct input grounded in real clinical VA experience.
AFTER THE SESSION
Within 48 hours you'll receive a written summary of key points, recommendations, and next steps. Something to refer back to as you move forward.
BETWEEN SESSIONS
Ongoing mentorship includes light async support between calls — a space to ask a quick question, share an update, or flag something before the next session.
MENTORSHIP OPTIONS
Two ways to work together.
Each mentorship relationship is scoped individually. Reach out and we'll have a conversation about what makes sense for where you are.
THE PROCESS
How to get started.
STEP 01
Reach out
Send a short message introducing yourself — where you are in your clinical VA journey, what you're hoping to get from mentorship, and what you've already done to build your practice.
STEP 02
Intro conversation
We'll have a brief introductory call to talk through what mentorship could look like for your specific situation.
STEP 03
Begin
If it's aligned, we'll confirm the structure, get your first prep questionnaire out to you, and get started.
A GOOD FIT LOOKS LIKE
What I'm looking for in a mentorship client.
The clinical VA mentorship is built around a specific kind of person — someone who is genuinely invested in doing this work well, not just doing it faster or more profitably.
I work best with VAs who are self-directed and prepared, who think carefully about the relational and regulatory dimensions of this work, and who are building something they're proud of. You don't need to have it all figured out — that's what the mentorship is for. But you do need to be willing to show up, do the prep, and follow through.
If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you.
Building a clinical VA practice in a niche that doesn't have a well-worn path is genuinely hard work. I know because I've done it — and I spent more time than necessary figuring things out alone that would have been much easier to work through with the right support.
That's what this is for.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to have read the Clinical VA Guide before applying for mentorship?
Yes — and this is intentional, not gatekeeping. The guide provides the foundational context that makes mentorship significantly more useful. It means we can skip the basics and go deeper from the very first session. If you haven't read it yet, that's the right place to start.
What if I'm just starting out — should I start with mentorship or a Focus Session?
If you're early in your clinical VA journey, a Focus Session is usually the better starting point. It lets you work through a specific question or challenge without committing to an ongoing relationship before you know what you need. Many mentorship clients come having completed one or two Focus Sessions first — it's a natural progression, not a requirement.
How do you decide who to accept into mentorship?
Every inquiry is considered individually. What I'm looking for is someone who is genuinely invested in doing this work well, has already taken steps to build their clinical VA practice, and is ready to show up prepared and follow through. The brief introductory call is as much for you as it is for me — it's a chance for both of us to make sure it's the right fit before committing.
How is mentorship different from a Focus Session?
Focus Sessions are structured around a single specific topic — focused, practical, and designed to answer a clear question. Mentorship is a sustained relationship built around where you are and where you're going over time. It includes ongoing async support between sessions and is shaped around your broader practice development, not just one area. If you have a specific question, start with a Focus Session. If you want a thinking partner as you build, mentorship is the right fit.
What does "light async support" actually mean?
It means that between our scheduled calls you can reach out with a quick question, share an update, or flag something that's come up — without waiting for your next session. It's not unlimited access or real-time availability, but it is a responsive, ongoing line of communication that keeps things moving between calls.
What happens if I need to pause or end the mentorship?
Life happens — and this is a relationship, not a contract you're locked into. If you need to pause or step back, reach out and we'll figure it out together. The minimum two-month commitment for ongoing mentorship exists to allow enough time for the relationship to actually be useful, not to trap anyone. Honest communication goes a long way.
What platform do we use for calls?
Sessions are conducted via Google Meet.
Is this legal, regulatory, or financial advice?
No — and it's worth being clear about that. Mentorship sessions are educational and advisory, built from professional experience working across multiple Canadian clinical settings. Nothing discussed constitutes legal, regulatory, or financial advice, and Cedar Coast Collective is not a law firm or licensed professional body. You are responsible for the decisions you make and actions you take as a result of our work together. Where independent legal or professional guidance is needed, that recommendation will always be made clearly.
