ABOUT

The person behind the build.

I came into this work through an unusual path — events project management into healthcare administration — and that combination is what makes the work function the way it does.

I spent years in the luxury wedding & event industry, managing complex, high-stakes projects with a lot of moving pieces — vendors, timelines, creative production, client relationships, and the constant operational puzzle of making something land exactly the way it was supposed to. That work trained me to think in systems, hold a lot of detail, and build things that actually function under pressure.

When COVID shut the events world down, I moved into in-house administration and management for local healthcare clinics. That's where everything shifted. I learned how clinical practices actually run — the regulatory environment, the compliance constraints, the way a growing clinic can quietly overwhelm the person at the centre of it. I saw what happened when the systems couldn't keep up with the vision, and I started building the structures to close that gap.

From there, I started a virtual assistant company, spending four years supporting therapists, counsellors, and healthcare practitioners — from solo private practices to growth-stage clinics. Over time, a pattern became clear. The operational load underneath clinical work was real regardless of practice size — but what it looked like, and what it needed, was different. Solo practitioners needed their systems set up properly from the start so the business didn't quietly take over the clinical work. Clinic owners whose practices had grown needed someone who could sit down with them, understand the whole picture, and build the infrastructure to match the vision. A VA could hold tasks. What most of them actually needed was someone who could do both the thinking and the building.

That's what I do now. I work with allied health practitioners across Canada — mental health therapists, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, naturopaths, RMTs — to build the operational foundation underneath the clinical work. The programs, the systems, the brand, the workflows. I think it through with you and then I build it. The events background gave me the project management instincts. The clinical experience gave me the context. Together, they're the reason I can hold the whole picture and actually make it real.

WORKING STYLE

How I work

I work at a considered pace. After every call, you'll get a written summary. I take time to sit with things before responding — not because I'm slow, but because that's how I do my best thinking, and it's part of what you get when you work with me.

Everything I build is designed to reduce cognitive load, not add to it. Clear documentation, structured handoffs, and operational systems that make sense without me having to explain them twice. The goal is always a clinic that's easier to run after we're done — not just better-looking.

We met Angie a few years ago when we were looking to scale up our business to the next level. She was very helpful in creating sales and promotional materials that fit our brand.  We were looking for a very specific theme and she accomplished that. She was very easy to work with and I would recommend hiring her.
