Rooted Within

Unwind & Find Presence

Angie is a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy (IAYT),  offering compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed support for those navigating stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Her work is grounded in a deep respect for the uniqueness of each nervous system and the understanding that regulation, safety, and connection look different for everyone.

Her clinical case study explored yoga therapy as a supportive modality for Autistic adults identifying later in life - an experience that continues to shape her approach and the way she holds space. Sessions weave together trauma-informed yogic tools, accessible movement, breathwork, and gentle self-inquiry to help clients reconnect with their inner steadiness and widen their capacity for everyday life.

Whether in a group setting or one-on-one, she intends to create a space that feels grounded, warm, and permission-based - a space where you can settle, explore, and show up exactly as you are.

Exploring with Curiosity

Each session is an opportunity to move at your own pace and uncover what may be contributing to the challenges or sensations you’re experiencing. We'll explore underlying patterns with gentleness and clarity, and together, we'll co-create a personalized plan that supports your body, energy, and capacities - without pushing past what feels safe.

Embodied Healing

In our time together, you’ll be invited to experience yogic practices in a fully embodied, compassionate way. When helpful, we explore the “why” behind what we’re doing - from the nervous system to breath patterns - but always with a gentle balance of rest, regulation, and spaciousness. The intention is not to “fix," but to support a reconnection with your truest and fullest self - cultivating healing that feels supportive, grounded, and centred on your lived experience.

Personalized Holistic Approach

An approach centred on your unique nervous system, sensory landscape, and lived experience. Yoga therapy offers practical, evidence-informed tools drawn from both Western psychology and anatomy, as well as yogic wisdom.

Together, we co-create a supportive path toward your physical, emotional, or energetic goals - one that honours your pace, preferences, and capacity.

This is a collaborative, client-led process designed to help you feel more grounded, resourced, and connected to yourself.

Supported Well-Being

Yoga therapy is experiential and collaborative. You’ll learn practices in a way that honours your body’s cues, your sensory needs, and your natural rhythms. When helpful, we'll weaves in simple, grounded education about the nervous system, interoception, and stress cycles - always paired with spaciousness, rest, and integration time.

The aim is not perfection or performance, but reconnection: supporting you in feeling more at home in yourself, building resilience, and cultivating tools you can return to in daily life.

Cedar Coast Collective draws inspiration from the landscape that we call home - the unceded territories of xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver. The name symbolizes our aim of helping people like you feel grounded, connected, and part of a community - fully present, feet firmly planted where you are.

Ways Yoga Therapy May Be Able to Support You

Yoga is an ancient, holistic, scientific and spiritual practice that has been used therapeutically for centuries. Research supports Yoga Therapy as a helpful complementary therapy for people navigating mental or physical health challenges (Ross & Thomas, 2010, Taneja, 2014, Agarwal, 2013, Mason & Birch, 2018). Here are a few ways that Yoga Therapy may be able to support you:

Nervous system + sensory support

Building interoception + body awareness

Support for anxiety, overwhelm & masking-related burnout

Stability + proprioception for hypermobility

Relief from chronic pain, tension, and masking-related burnout

and more

Yoga Therapy Offerings

*Sliding Scale: A limited number of sliding-scale openings are reserved for neurodivergent clients to

increase accessibility and continuity of care.

Sessions are held virtually so you can settle into a space that feels safe, with freedom to move, use

stimming tools, and communicate through personalized non-verbal cards if that feels supportive.

About Angie

I’m a certified C-IAYT Yoga Therapist with a Diploma in Yoga Therapy from the Vancouver School of Healing Arts (VSOHA). My relationship with yoga began 16 years ago as a gentle way to release tension and navigate the ongoing effects of anxiety. Over time, the practice grew into a way of understanding people - how we heal, how we relate, and how our nervous systems respond to the world around us. That understanding now guides everything I offer, and continues to be the thread that informs everything I build and offer through Cedar Coast Collective.

My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and a deep respect for how the nervous system holds and processes experience. Drawing on anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and psychology, I support clients through slow, compassionate sessions rooted in presence. These practices create space for you to reconnect with your body, settle your system, and move in ways that feel safe and sustainable.

At the heart of all my work is a simple conviction: meaningful change doesn’t come from force - it comes from listening, attuning, and meeting people where they are.

The session was ever thing I could ask for - educational, healing, empowering. I was able to see anger, stress, anxiety in my body and tissues and was able to release some of it/a lot of it. I am also taking home a short practice I could use for self-help and relaxation. Thank you Angie!
